  • Only exception: barred by bylaw from holding the office of BCL President
  • ... however, all other executive positions are fair game and we encourage you to get involved!

Informational Member

Informational members are not "members of the league" as defined by our bylaws. This "membership" type exists in order to allow residents of our community to be kept abreast of BCL events and other community happenings. Many families might feel that a regular membership is of little substantive benefit to them, but staying informed of issues affecting their community is nevertheless of great value. It is the League's hope that exposure to BCL activities by way of communication inclusion will allow people to better assess the benefits of full League membership.
As an Informational Member, you will:

  • receive BCL newsletters
  • receive broadcast BCL emails
  • may participate in open BCL email discussion lists
  • may attend events declared "Open to the Public"
  • may participate in activities and programs as directed by the BCL Executive.
  • gain a sense of the dynamic people that live in your neighborhood and an appreciation of what you stand to gain by becoming a full BCL member.
