Hello all! I am a graduate student in human geography at the U of A working on a project called BUILT ENVIRONMENT, MOBILITY & HEALTHY AGING. I am looking for older adults in the Elsinore area that would like to learn how to use (and get to keep!) a digital camera. In turn, we I'll ask you to take pictures of your neighbourhood. You will have two weeks to take pictures, and then weI'll have a focus group to talk about everyone's photos together.
The goal of this project is to help researchers understand what parts of Elsinore support (or hinder) how older adults get around and do what is important to them. The timeline for this project depends on finding participants but we are aiming for August.
For more information, please contact Esther McNairnay Ph: 780-999-3828 Email: mcnairna@ualber ta.ca |

Baturyn is offering free drop-in guitar lessons and clinics.
- Wanna learn to play?
The lessons are aimed at beginners any age and take place any Thursday at 19:30 at Baturyn Hall.
- Don't have a guitar?
No problem, you will find out where to start, how much to spend and on what.
- Have a guitar and want to fix, or modify it?
Drop in, we will discuss our preferences, glue that broken neck together, fix scratchy pot, solder the jack, install new pickups, killswitch etc.
- Wanna teach me or others?
You're the man!
- Wanna listen to the band?
The doors are open.... Currenty the band is on a world tour (read: vacation).
Drop into at Baturyn Hall any Thursday at 19:30 to see the band practice, bring your guitar to learn to play (or to teach others), drop in to ask questions or give advice.
Future plans include forming a band (or bands), performing, organizing concerts, gigs, festivals. You know, ....the life of Rockstar....

Lessons are based on my experience in playing rock music. That includes AC/DC, TSA, Van Halen, Perfect, Iron Maiden, Slash, Nalepa, GNR, Satriani and other classics.
See you there,
Arek
