Several exciting events are on the calendar at the BCL. Follow these links for more information:

Noteworthy, New, and Interesting

  • New BCL Fundraiser: Husky Oil Community Rebate Program
    • We've joined Husky's rebate program to help us generate some much needed funds. If you buy gas at Husky, please contact our Director of Finance, Linda Lauder, to get a card today! Every time you purchase something at Husky, they donate a small slice to BCL. Fundraising is tremendously important to the League, and you support in this would be greatly appreciated!

What is the Baturyn Community League

The BCL is an organization of local citizens who work for the betterment of the residents of Baturyn, Castlebrook (Chambery and Elsinore), and Castlewood (Canossa and Rapperswill) neighborhoods. Together with a large network of fantastic volunteers, the BCL offers valuable programs and activities to our members. Most activities centre around the League's Community Hall and the surrounding playing fields. Here's a sample of what gets organized through the BCL:

  • Soccer, hockey, and lacrosse teams
  • Girl Guides and Scouts
  • Lobster Fest Supper
  • Annual neighborhood clean-up
  • Children's Playschool and Baby and Tots sales
  • Playground, Hockey rinks, baseball diamonds
  • ... and much more...

By being a member of the BCL, you and your family can participate in these fantastic activities. As well, you can take advantage of BCL resources to start your own activities to share with the community. Find out how to become a member today!

BCL mailing address: P.O. Box 30630, Edmonton, AB T5X 5V9
Community Hall location: 10505 - 172 Avenue, Edmonton, AB

This website intends to become a resource which residents will want to have as their browser's default homepage. Community matters - it's important - and Baturyn.ca will be the place to plug into and feel the pulse of your local community. The website is a collaborative effort, with different people taking charge of the various sections. If you have an interest in any particular page, contact the Baturyn community league. Everyone's help is welcome!

We are located in north Edmonton (satellite view.) We are bordered on the south by Castledowns Road, on our north by 173A Ave, on our east by 97 Street, and our west by 113A Street. To our east lies the neighborhood of Lago Lindo, to our south Lorelei, to our west is Canossa, and to our north is Chambery-Elsinore. For the time being, BCL also counts the neighborhoods of Castlewood and Castlebrook among its areas until they branch off their own leagues.
