Castledowns was built with a British-inspired theme, with neighbourhoods named after European castles, a nod to the cultural roots of North Edmonton.
Since 1981, the Baturyn Community League, a volunteer non-profit organization, has supported Baturyn, Canossa, Chambery, Elsinore, and Rapperswill, fostering connection, pride, and inclusion. Today, we embrace The Well as a symbol of unity, a place where neighbours gather, contribute, and draw strength together.
We respectfully acknowledge that we live and work on Treaty 6 territory, the traditional lands of many First Nations and Métis peoples.

Public Hearing Update: The City of Edmonton has advised that a public hearing for application LDA26-0275 is expected to be scheduled for late January or early February 2027. Further details will be shared by the city planner,
once the official hearing postcard has been mailed.
